Bhante Wimala (G. Wimalananda Thero) is a Sri Lankan Theravada Buddhist monk. After being a novice monk for ten years, he received his higher ordination in 1995. Bhante Wimala gained training and practice in both urban and forest monastic traditions. Having completed monastic and university education, he served in some monasteries and educational institutions in Sri Lanka. Then, he turned to Buddhist missionary work abroad and served in New Zealand and India for some time. He returned to USA to join the Buddhist Missionary work  and has been working as a Dhamma teacher in Buddhist Ministry  at An Lac Mission (2021) and at Camarillo Buddhist Center since 2022.
